5 of the Best Videos about Books

Handmade bookish jewellery by Philadelphia designer Margaux Kent of Black Spot Books (http://pegandawlbuilt.com)

Below are 5 of my favourite book-related videos. (I’ll post the other 5 next week.) I’ve shared these with some of my online writing classes and thought you might enjoy them too.

They represent an entertaining range of styles and themes. Pick and choose which you’ll watch … or settle in with a cup of tea or a latte, put your feet up, and view them all. They are ordered shortest to longest and play times are indicated.

By the way, during my Sabino Springs Writers’ Retreat (Tucson, Arizona), one of our excursions was to the Bookmans — they’re incredible stores — where the first video was filmed.

I’d love to hear what you think, so when you’re done viewing, please take a moment to comment.

1. “Bookmans Does Book Dominoes” (0:47)

2. “It’s a Book” (animated book trailer) (1:03)

3. “The Joy of Books” (1:52)

4. Medieval Help Desk (Norwegian with subtitles) (2:46)

There’s an English version too, but the original Norwegian is funnier.

5. “Librarian” (4:11)

What are your favourite videos about books?

  1. Barbara Trendos says:

My fave is “The Joy of Books”. I just love the idea of the books springing into their secret life of song and dance after closing. The Bookmans one appealed too, because I loved poking around in that store in Tucson.

  2. These are all wonderful! Thank you.

  3. I love them all! They are so creative…

    Made me laugh out loud!

    Thanks, Allyson.
